AN: For those who don't know, we had - still have? - a bit of a goaltending controversy in Montreal. Carey was recently completely outplayed by Jaro in a sensational stretch of games that kind of saved our season, which brought about a big debate over who deserves the number one spot - but also the fact that we can't keep both of these boys much longer, and whether we're making the right decision.
Summary: Confrontation and regrets. A little sappy. Carey's POV. Follows the same timeline as my other stories with these two, but can still stand alone.

Summary: I've always been fascinated with the dynamic between these two, so this takes place over a period of time as their relationship develops. This first part kind of tests the waters a bit and sets it up for the second part, which is almost ready.
