A/N: Okay, there will be no SiR next week because I'm going to be on a research trip in the Dominican Republic and presumably without internet access on the beach in the hotel. Besides I'm not sure how much writing about ICE hockey I can do on the beach while interviewing people on remittances. Anyway, so to make up for that, this part is extra wonderful XD XD XD

This chapter IS extra wonderful! Hockey players paint-balling is really incongruous. This chapter actually reminds me a lot of military fiction/memoirs, or at least the goofy parts that are set between the war parts.

I miss Martin! But I guess he's not doing very much right now.

Have fun in Dominican! Maybe if you start overheating, you'll want to write about ICE hockey to cool off (though "think cold thoughts" never works for me, lol) :-)

man this is so well-written. i continue to love the pacing, how you cut away at exactly the right moments. everything reads like true chapters of a bigger work - so great. alex getting shot out of the tree is priceless. i love how many layers get explored in every chapter, how all sorts of things are being explored through introspection and narrative and plain ol' plot. this is great.

next saturday is going to come and i am going to WANT but then i shall think fondly of you on the beach and i will patiently wait until the following saturday.
