Hi everyone sorry for the delay in getting this thing up my life has been insane the past few weeks but here is chapter five. You'd think that after six months of using this sit I would be able to post my story the right way the first time but no it usually takes me three times to get it right.

Raiting: PG maybe PG 13 but for the most part I'd say PG

Chapter Five

Chapter five Steen’s pov

Thomas and I have a little fun in the shower just kissing and touching each other and of course getting cleaned up. It’s almost noon by the time we leave Thomas’s place and even though there is a lot of traffic on the road we make it there by one giving us time before my parents arrive.

We get to their gate and wait; it surprising that no one knows who we are or has asked for our autograph yet. I look up and see my parents coming towards us and my heads start to sweat and shake a little. Thomas must have noticed this because I felt his hand rest on my shoulder.

“Relax Alex,”

“I’m trying,”

“Mr. Steen, Mrs. Steen good to see you again,” Thomas says.

“Hello Thomas it’s good to see you again,” says my father.

“I hope you don’t mind I invited Thomas to stay with us for Christmas because his family can’t make it in this year. Where are Cassandra and Hamilton?”

“They couldn’t make it in this year sweetheart and don’t worry the more the merrier,”

We leave the airport without saying anything I just happy they let Thomas stay, not that I would send him away if they asked me to. The traffic is even heavier then when Thomas and I left but we make it back to my place in under an hour. I let Thomas in so he can move his stuff into the guest room next to mine for now. I know I’ll have to tell them about me and Thomas sooner or later but I hope it can wait until later tomorrow at least. Thomas comes back out and we move my parents stuff up to their room and then met them down in the living room.

“So son how have things been going since you left for training camp?” asks my father.

“Um really good although the team isn’t doing so well right now. And other then the fact that I fried the hard drive on my laptop a couple of weeks ago everything is fine,”

“Don’t worry yet son there’s still plenty of time to get some wins before the seasons over,”

“Sweetheart this house is really nice,”

“Thanks mom it’s four bed two bath and a full family room in the basement and a huge kitchen so it has everything thing I could ever need,”

“It’s a really nice house Alex but I think you should have bought an apartment and wait until you got married to move into a house,”

I shifted around on me feet but didn’t say anything it was now or never I had to tell my parents the truth before I go insane.

“Mom, Dad there is something that Thomas and I need to talk to you about,”

“What is it sweetheart?” asks my mother.

“I don’t know how to say this but I won’t be marrying a nice girl and bringing her home to meet the family soon,”

“Why not Alex?”

“That’s because mom, dad, I’m gay and Thomas is my boyfriend,”

I hold my breath for what seems like forever, waiting for my parents to say something, anything is better than this silence. Thomas grabs my hand and gives it a squeeze; at least one person will still be in my life after this is all over.

“Alex are you sure?” asks my mom.

“Yes; I’ve had a feeling since I was 13 that I maybe gay but I wasn’t until a couple of years ago that I knew that I was gay,”

“I take that your gay too Thomas? And that this is the reason that your parents aren’t here?”

“Yes Mr. Steen. I told my parents this past off-season that I was gay and my father told me to pack up all my stuff and move it to Toronto and not to come back. But before I left my mom pulled me aside and said that she was proud of me; she gave me her email address that he no know about so I can talk to her and get news on family,”

I look at Thomas in awe and I felt so bad for him; just being thrown out of almost his whole family like that must have been hard. The one thing that I was afraid of the most had happened to him and to see him here today the same man that he always is was just amazing and makes me love him all the more.

“Alex son, as long as your happy and in a healthy relationship I don’t care whether your gay or straight, this’ll just take some getting used to that’s all,”

“Your father’s right as long as your happy the rest doesn’t matter son we will always love you baby,”

“Oh wow I wasn’t expecting that, I thought that you would do the same thing that Thomas’s father did to him,”

“Never son, we would never do that to any of our children because we love you and being different is okay. It’s what makes you who you are son and don’t let anyone tell either of you different,”

“Thank you so much Mr. Mrs Steen,”

“Please Thomas call me Emily,”

Okay that is the end of the fifth chapter. Hang on to your hat everyone because just as this couple starts to get going a surprise is going to come up and test them and everyone around them. Stay tooned everyone.
