Mod Post

Hey -- so yeah, even before the question came up, we were working on a way to make stories more easy to access, without having to rely on the memories system, which as most of us know, doesn't work much more often than it does.

Myself, arami (other mod), and with the generous help of zdarovyeh, are going to be implementing the use of tags to make all of this easier. We will be adding tags for teams, players, and possibly other categories (authors, ratings). Give us a few days to start to get things in place to make this work, and then everyone in the community should have the ability to add/edit tags for posts, if the author didn't use them. We would love it if authors would, but understand that not everyone does/will, so having others have the capability to set them up will make life easier all around.

We do apologize for this taking so long to get around to doing, but real life got crazy, especially at the end of the season. But hey, summer project! We like those.

Also, we've changed the user info around, so everyone please take a look and let us know if we left out anything important.

Any comments, suggestions, what have you... let us have 'em!

Hi!

To help out the mods, I'm going back in and tagging all the old entries. One thing I've noticed that I'd like to bring people's attentions to:

Try to check out the existing community tags before adding ones of your own. I'm already finding typos cropping up (e.g., 'sideny' instead of 'sidney' for crosby, for example), and since only the mods can clean up duplicate tags, it'll add to the list and make it harder for everyone to use.

The tags I'm creating with the mods' blessing:
* Teams
* Rating
* Author
* Primary pairings: incidental characters are not being included to make the search functionality of the tags more useful. Also, there is a limit on the number of entries that will return per tag (only the last 100), so tagging a post with an incidental character will dilute the pool of entries where they might be part of the primary pairing.
