Hee. Well, they might've just gotten it elsewhere, but, yeah, I think probably the Sharks gave it to them.
A newspaper article ran after Game 1 talking about how Ville Nieminen had a raging case of the flu and a really high fever 2-3 days before Game 1. And given what assistant coach Rob Zettler sounded like during an interview in Game 6 (like he'd gargled a box of razor blades), there was a strong suspicion amongst Sharks fans that part of the reason the Sharks played so poorly the last four games of that series (the ones they lost) is because the flu was sweeping through their locker room. They just didn't talk about it. Or any of the other injuries, actually, even after the series ended.
