This s really nice. I love how everything is kept hazy and unclear because it really makes it feel like Nika is trying to forget but can't. I love how Alex tries to work everything out and is on Nika's side even if he doesn't know the real reason behind Nika's choices. I love how Nika was wiling to do whatever to save Alex from whoever he had gotten in trouble with. In a word, I love the deep loyalty you've woven into this without explicitly stating it.
An Alex POV follow-up, eh? I certainly wouldn't mind one of those. Maybe the whole story would come out from someone who isn't trying to forget it all.
