i really like the contrast here of how well they communicate in terms of sexual chemistry and desire (!!!) and how poorly they communicate in terms of being on the same page about whatever it is that's going on between them. it's the emotional intimacy that's fucked up, and it's such a lovely contrast to the deliciously spark-filled physical intimacy, with which they seem to have no issues. the tension created by the two being out-of-sync is fantastic.
