Kyle Brodziak made his way from his car to the house of Sam Gagner, Tom Gilbert and Andrew Cogliano. He rang the doorbell and Tom greeted him.

"Hey man! Glad you could make it." Kyle nodded. He wouldn't miss this party. Sam's first two goal game was that day, and everyone was stoked. Not only for Sam, but for the team. One step closer to the playoffs. Kyle sat down on the couch and looked around. Not many were there yet, so he started to chat with Andrew as they watched Sports center. Robert Nilsson walked up the shovelled pathway to his team mates' house and let himself in. He was running late, and was hoping the party hadn't peaked before he even got there. He removed his coat and threw it on the pile in the foyer. Robert followed the sounds of laughter and music down to the basement where he found many of his fellow young team mates.

"YEAH!!!" Kyle cheered as his team was up by 3 on NHL 08.

"In your face, Sam!" He grinned and noticed someone had just come in. It was Robert. Kyle gave the controller to Andrew and sat down, taking a long sip of his beer. Robert made him nervous. He wasn't sure why, but he always did. Robert sat down on the vacant love seat and watched Sam and Andrew battle it out on NHL 08.

"Hey Bobby, did you want a drink man?" Tom asked.

"Uhh, sure, beer is fine." He replied. Tom stood up from his spot on the couch and went out to the kitchen to fetch more beverages. Robert looked around the room, growing bored of watching Sam getting frustrated with Andrew. The two were now bickering back and forth over what video game to play next. As he stared at the signed jersey of his Captain that was framed on the wall, Robert felt as if he was being watched. He glanced over at the couch, catching Kyle watching him. Kyle's eye's shot down to his lap. He groaned inwardly. What was his problem! Robert probably thought he was some creep or something. He sighed and got up. He needed to get away for a few minutes. He made his way past Robert without looking at him and went out onto the porch. Robert watched Kyle walk up the stairway. He had no idea what had just happened. He was always friendly with Kyle, but lately, he was acting strange.

"Here's you beer dude." Tom nudged Robert's shoulder with the bottle.

"Uhh, thanks Tom. Hey, did you see where Kyle went?" He asked, taking a sip of his beer.

"Yeah, he's in the deck." Robert nodded a thank you and climbed up the stairs. He passed Matt Greene and Marty Reasoner, who were just getting there, escaping from Matt's audible voice saying "BOBBY!!" Robert stepped out onto the porch, shutting the door behind him softly.

"What's going on Kyle?" Kyle closed his eyes at Robert's voice. What was he supposed to say? He didn't even know himself what was going on. He took one last sip of his beer and turned around to face Robert. He just stood there and stared at him, not knowing what to say. He bit his lip, looking for words, but they didn't come. Robert stared back at Kyle, not sure what to do next. He knew he was keeping something from him. It wasn't like Kyle Brodziak was a quiet person, until today. Part of him wanted to run up to Kyle and shake what he was feeling out of him. Robert decided instead to walk up closer to Kyle, setting his beer down on the table and looking back up into his gorgeous blue eyes.

"Is there something you want to tell me? Or should I just leave you alone?" Kyle felt numb. He looked into Robert's eyes and his stomach lurched.

"I-I don't even know. I think I need another drink." He stared out at the yard and bit his lip again. Why was he acting so stupid? "I'm sorry..." he mumbled. Robert sighed. He knew he wasn't going to get anything out of Kyle. He contemplated just giving up and heading back in the house, he was freezing after all. But then something came over Robert, and he knew just what he had to do to get Kyle from ignoring him.

"Then why don't I tell you what's on my mind?" Robert spun Kyle around and pressed his lips up against his team mates own lips. He held onto him tightly, making sure Kyle couldn't wriggle free. Kyle's stomach lurched as he felt Robert's lips touch his. His knees felt weak, and he felt as though he could melt into a puddle right there. He brought his hands up to Robert's neck and migrated one up to his mess of hair. After a moment, he pulled back and looked at Robert, his breath rapidly increasing. He bit his lip, something he really needed to work on not doing, and smiled slightly.

"Wow." He whispered. Robert began to giggle. It was amazing how with one little word, he knew exactly what Kyle was feeling. Robert pulled him closer by the collar of his jacket, resting his forehead against Kyle's.

"Now what?" Kyle shrugged.

"I don't know. This?" He pulled Robert's lips to his again, not able to get enough of them together. He bit down softly on Robert's lower lip. At least it wasn't his own this time. Robert winced at the feeling of Kyle's teeth biting down on his lip. He slipped his hand inside Kyle's jacket, slowly gliding over his chest. He could feel Kyle's heart racing, picking up pace as their lips remained together. He let out a soft moan, urging Kyle to keep nibbling on his lower lip. Kyle kissed Robert hard, and started to unbutton his shirt. He felt his bare chest, and wondered for a moment if he was cold, but his skin was hot. He kissed along his jaw line and down to his neck, their bodies pressed tightly together. Robert's head fell backwards, the feeling of Kyle's tongue roaming down his body sent thousands of tiny shocks trickle down his spine. He looked down at Kyle, gliding his hand through his golden hair. As Kyle went to undo the last button of Robert's shirt, he suddenly snapped back into reality. There he was, outside in broad daylight at a party, stuck in a rather compromising position with his team mate. It would take all he had in him to say it, but he had to.

"Kyle, wait. We can't do this here. . ." Kyle looked up at him, his face flushed. He nodded mutely and slid his hands up Robert's sides and kissed him once more. He buttoned his shirt back up for him and smiled at him.

"I can wait." He smirked and resisted kissing him again. Robert gave Kyle a devilish look. He leant into Kyle, tracing his jaw line with the tip of his index finger.

“Well, when you’re done with waiting, you know where to find me.” He whispered in his ear. He shot Kyle one last look, then snuck back into the party.
