Hello everyone, I’ve been lurking around this community for the last couple of months and all of the stories are awesome. However I have noticed that there is a lack of Leafs stories so I’ve decided to post mine; I’ve been working on this for the last week or so and I hope you all like it.

Rating: pg-13 for now. Rating will go up later.

December 23, 2007

Steen’s POV

I’m always a team player, which is why I’m sitting here in Darcy Tucker’s basement for the team’s annual Christmas party. The party has been going strong for the last two hours and all the guys were pretty buzzed now, except for me this was only my second rum and coke. I sigh as I see my two best friends Kyle Wellwood and Matt Stajan come up and sit down beside me.

“Hey...Man...What’s up?” slurred Matt.

“How much have you had to drink?” I laugh.

“Um, three or four I’m not sure. Taking a break, Kyle’s stone cold sober,”

Kyle shook his head and landed a punch on Matt’s shoulder. I couldn’t help but smile I can see how much they love each other behind the teasing. Matt and Kyle have been secretly dating for the past six months and I was the only guy on the team who knew about it. Of course I only found out after I walked into their hotel room in Montréal and saw them having sex. But that was okay because I happen to be gay to and to top it off I’m head over heels in love with Thomas Kaberle.

I look over to where he was sitting with Mats and Darcy and he was wearing blue jeans and a black turtleneck. I didn’t notice that Matt and Kyle had followed my gaze until they both started to laugh at me.

“Why don’t you just tell him how you feel?”  asked Kyle.

“No I can’t; besides he straight and will never want to be with me,”

“How do you know he’s straight?” asked Matt.

Kaberle’s POV

I watch as the man I’ve been in love with for the last two years talk to Kyle and Matt; I don’t know when I fell in love with Alex. It’s the type of love that grows over time and that’s what happened, I first noticed him two years ago at training camp when he was a bright eyed kid and it grew from there.

I notice him wearing a blue dress shirt and black dress pants, I guess her didn’t get the memo that this was a casual party. It just makes him even more good looking.

“Thomas just ask Alex out and put us out our misery,” said Darcy who was sitting to my right.

“I can’t, I just know he has a girlfriend,”

“How do you know? Have you ever seen him with a girl?” asked Mats.

“Well no but come on a guy that good looking has to have a girlfriend,”

  “Well here’s your chance because it looks like he’s heading outside. Go and talk to Alex,”

“Okay, okay I’ll go talk to him I just hope your right about this,”

So I down the rest of my beer and grab my coat, then I slowly make my way up the stairs. Mats and Darcy are right I have to tell Alex how I feel and let the chips fall where they may. I just hope he feels the same way about me.
