Title: As If
Pairing: Toni Lydman Henrik Tallinder
Rating: PG
Summary: A short little cute fic about the two of them.
Disclaimer: I don't own anything at all.
It's dark. Hank has his arms around me. My head is on his shoulder. He's gently tracing circles on my arm with his finger. His eyes are closed. He sighs. I stare at his face. A face that, in my mind, is perfect in every way.
"Toni." He says quietly.
"Hm." I answer. I open my eyes, as he closes his.
"This is perfect. Everything right now is perfect." I smile and nod slowly. "No really Toni." I open my eyes.
"I know." Hank's eyes are wide.
"What we have is special. Let's not tell anyone. This is between us. They don't need to know. Anything." I nod not bothering to tell him I've already told Ryan Miller and he's most likely told Brian. "They're too young. They wouldn't understand us."
"Hank, they aren't that much younger then us. Hecht is our age. Soupy is a year younger then you." I smile.
"I know that." He says quietly. "But they are young in a different way." He pauses. I'm confused but I act like I know exactly what he's talking about.
"All right. Let's not tell anyone." He smiles at me. "This is our time, why should they intrude. They'd only make it something different anyways."
"Promise?" He says not smiling. His face is tired.
"Promise." He leans in and kisses me. He then goes back to closing his eyes, and tracing circles on my arm.
