Summary: Derek Roy really likes the daydreams he has.



Derek Roy likes to daydream.

They’re not exactly a person’s everyday sort of daydreams, either. Forget the storybook fairytale sort of dream, where someone can imagine they’re in a far off fantasyland fighting off evil, or saving a damsel in distress. Forget thinking about sitting in a field of grass on a warm, summer day while staring up at the clouds and trying to think of what the clouds are currently representing. No, Derek has different sort of daydreams; two specific ones, actually.

The first type of daydream consists of an Italian dinner laid out upon his mahogany table. He would picture himself sitting at one end of the table, eating his linguini slowly, while occasionally glancing up at the man across the way. It would be his boyfriend; the man who he could stay up late and share ice cream with whenever he wanted a late night snack; the man who would consistently tell Derek corny jokes just to make him smile, even for a little bit. He loves those jokes, no matter how awful they are. Thomas Vanek always seems to make Derek smile, even without saying a word. Just seeing him is enough to make the young center’s heart flutter.
Since Derek loves Italian, and tends to go to Italian restaurants whenever he gets the chance, he normally has this daydream on a day-to-day basis. Plus, it’s such a romantic atmosphere to be a part of. Derek’s first daydream sets up the perfect mood for his second type of daydream.

The sexual fantasy daydream.

He tries not to have those sort of daydreams during games, or hockey practices because it can turn out to be a bit tight under all his padding in the lower section of his body. It doesn’t help either that Thomas just happens to be right there if he can’t control his hormones, or his brain patterns; even if he is twenty four years old, and he should be able to control his sexual desires. Though, when he suddenly gets strong urges to have his boyfriend fuck his brains out, he knows it’s bad.
The daydream would start off with both Thomas and Derek sharing a passionate kiss while the younger of the two men would carry the other up towards his bedroom. Everything in Derek’s mind would seem to shift forward in time at that moment, as he could perfectly picture his boyfriend fucking him mercilessly into the soft mattress underneath him. Just the thought of it makes the zipper to his pants tighten up against his skin for obvious reasons.
This isn’t the best part of the daydream though, oh no. Even imagining Thomas whispering dirty words into Derek’s ear as he’s fucking him isn’t the best part. What Derek loves so much about this particular daydream is that he can actually smell the aroma of Thomas, and be able to taste him in his mouth when he thinks about having sex with the younger man. Between smelling his own sweat placed on the mattress underneath him, and the aroma of sex that fills the room when the two men do actually have sex, Derek can also smell another scent – cherry and vanilla intermixed with each other. That scent springs up whenever Derek has his sexual fantasies. Then the taste of Thomas enters his mouth; the sweet taste of apples over takes his throat, and his salivary glands start working. That’s when Derek needs Thomas the most. Thomas is the only man who can truly satisfy Derek’s hunger and lust. The tall, Austrian who enters his boyfriend’s mind with every breath he takes, every bite he takes out of something, and with every daydream he has.

Derek Roy likes to daydream. He mainly likes to daydream about those memories he shares with the love of his life. Derek knows those are the best daydreams anyone could ever have.
