Oh! And on another, unrelated note, I was thinking about this last night. I am kind of shocked that neither Andrew nor Ian lied to the other about their infidelities. That's pretty shocking to me. I'd have thought at least one of them would have gone for the path of least resistance, hoping the other would never know. (And I would have thought the liar would have been Ian, but I digress...)
One of my favorite things about your writing is the little details. The faces of the children. The woman in the bakery. The old man at the back door of the rink. The fishermen on the boat. Those just add a whole layer of realism that I like very much.
