Feedback: Is loved like a goal made by Nikky Zherdev. Or a game won by the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Cradling the phone in his hand, Ryan looks at the form next to him, as if reassuring himself that Ty is asleep. Reassured, he punches in the familiar numbers and listens to it ring, before a sleepy voice picks up.
“Hello?”
“Rick? Hey…”
“Hey yourself. What’s up?” There’s a soft scuffling noise on the other end, followed by the sound of another sleepy voice.
“Nothing…Just wanted to call…Who’re you with?” His tone isn’t anywhere near accusatory, but mildly curious.
There’s a pause on the other end. Then, “Oh… Nobody you’d know…”
Ryan smiles slightly, having heard the soft Swedish accent in the background.
“Saw you got pulled the other night…Sorry about that.”
“Eh…It’s no big deal. They didn’t wanna work me too hard in back-to-backs, I guess…” Ryan replies. “Watched your game today…Playoffs still possible?”
“Yeah…I guess…” Another pause. “…When are you coming to visit? I miss you.”
“I’m off for a few games soon…I could come then, if you’d like. I miss you too.”
“That sounds great. Hey, listen…I need to get going…Tell Ty I’ll call him soon.”
“Will do. Tell Henrik I said hi.”
There’s another pause on the other end, followed by soft murmuring, and a chuckle.
“…He says hi back. I’ll call you next time, yeah?”
“Ok. Night, Rick, sleep well.”
“You too, Ryan. Night.”
Pressing the ‘off’ button, Ryan settles down next to Ty, whom he watches quietly, until he too falls asleep, his dreams sprinkled with images of a tanned body, and dark eyes.

And I agree, he's definitely not. Hopefully, if I can get my Ryan!muse to quit being whiney and bitchy (He seems to be mirroring my mood for today, I don't know...), there might be more. I hope there'll be more. I really like these two together. ♥
