A/N: This is my first time posting...I'm scared.  This isn't really a fic per say, it's a kind of poem type thing.  I hope you enjoy it, and if it's totally terrible, let me know so I can work on fixing it.  Thanks!!

Heres to falling in love with your Best Friend
Why do you care about me anyway?
I'm just a common boy,
And you're this angel, perfect in every way.
What could you ever see in me?
I'm awkward, loud, unimportant,
And you're perfect, confident, everything I'm not.
What did I do to deserve someone like you?
Because when you tell me that you need me,
It makes me feel so special,
Like something more than I am,
And even though I know you're more than I deserve,
I can't help but want more.

But as much as I want it,
I'm afraid.
Afraid of losing you altogether,
Afraid that if I told you any of this you'd never want to see me again.
I'd rather have you as a friend than see you walk out of my life altogether.

So I guess this is how things will stay.
Me, watching you as we joke and play and tease,
You, blissfully unaware that I see you as anything more than a friend or brother.
Until the day comes when I finally get the guts to tell you that I need you,
That I love you more than anything, anyone else,
Until it's too late.
