because i strive for at least the semblance of realism in my fic, i felt kinda bad just going off on my "chemistry makes no sense here in czech" - i was about 90% certain that would be a lie. but i couldn't resist the conceit and hey, fiction, so off with it i went, throwing a blanket apology at the top (which is totally cheating, but there you have it).

hockey-playing czechs have totally and unexpectedly stolen my heart. i mean, like, blindsided. it's kind of awesome.

i'm super-psyched you liked the "newly minted" line - i wrote and i said "hey, lookit!" and i too was pleased. ;D
