Funny how it did end up working out, because when I started, believe it or not, I didn't have a clue how it was going to resolve itself!
I'm glad too, that you noted the guys feeling like guys angle; I work hard at this, trying to make their dialogue as "guy-like" as possible. Hence the pulling-teeth nature of Vladdie and Savvy's "I love you"s. Vladdie only voices it because he's afraid of losing Marc, and Marc only voices it because of Vladdie's obvious desperation (and of course, as he says, by this point he's an emotional basket case. One more blow and he's probably ready for the rubber room.)
Poor boys - I haven't written anything quite so angsty since with Vladdie and Savvy (well, one story is maybe a wee bit angsty - it is hard to resist with these two); I ended up writing several pure smut or amusing stories just to give them a break. ;-)
