I was sitting on my couch in my apartment when I heard the door open.  I turned around and saw Mike standing there.  “Hey babe,” I called, as he walked over to me.

“Hey yourself,” he replied, sitting next to me.  He rested his head on my shoulder, reading the email I had just finished.  He started laughing.  “I hope you don’t plan on forwarding that,” he giggled.

“Only to you,” I laughed with him, turning my head and kissing him on the nose.

“Good.  Because no one else needs to know that,” he mumbled, capturing my mouth.  “Especially not Nicky and Alex.”

“Agreed,” I replied, slipping my tongue in his mouth.  Not letting go, I set my laptop on my table and pulled Mike into my lap.  He curled up in my lap, burying his head the crook of my neck.  “Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked him, concerned.

“Nothing,” he replied.

“You sure?”

“No.”

“Talk to me,” I whispered, shifting so that I forced him to look at me, but he was still in my lap.

“It’s nothing bad, I promise.  I just love you, that’s all.  I love you so much Brooksie,” he whispered back, slipping his hands around my neck and pulling me into a kiss.

I slipped my arms around his waist and kissed him harder, pulling away to reply to what he had just said.  “Mike, I love you so much too, and I always will.  Don’t ever forget that.”

“I won’t,” he promised.  “So, tell me, how on earth did you get that email in the first place?”

“Alex sent it to me,” I grinned mischievously.

“Of course he did,” Mike smiled.  “Of course he did.”  And with that being said, he kissed me once again.  I think tonight we might pass number 3, not that I’m complaining.
