no, no one saw it coming. everyone thought that the contracts were being extended. but, well they weren't. the government decided that The Public Health Agency of Canada (thats who funded the project) needed to free up 10 million dollars in their budget. so they lopped of an entire national program.

it has definitely not been fun, but things are finally settling out now.
