Oh! The palm kiss. I like the contrast of Malkin being a little forceful, grabbing Jordan's wrist, then the sweetness of the kiss to the hand.
I like how you describe them as boys. That sounds like a dumb remark -- and I don't mean it the way it probably sounds. I like how it jolted me a little bit, thinking, "yeah! They're still so very young." It kind of made me feel a little guilty reading it; but it also adds to that feeling of insecurity that is flowing under the surface.
So, inquiring minds want to know: Was Sidney just faking being asleep so he could watch them go at it? Ha ha! ;-)
